PTI blog hop Jan 2012

It wasn't hard for me to choose my favourite card with PTI elements for 2011.
This is the card I used for my very first ( and only) PTI blog hop just before Christmas last year. I was rather happy with how this turned out! The PTI die has been covered with glossy accents and I've simply placed it with a coordinating PTI stamp and some lovely MF dp. The die's are all great to use. Love them!

I've decided to use this idea for this year and here are two cards that I've created.
For the first I used the same PTI die with a glitter paper and a different PTI sentiment ( I cut it because it originally said "Christmas Blessings").
The 2 step tree from StampinUp ties it together I think.

The last card and clearest photo ( sorry for my hazy snaps) is for families with children.
I love this one and it was quick and easy to make.
The shiny cardstock was hard to stamp cleanly so, I used a rub on and it worked  well!
Does any one have any hints about which ink to use on shiny cardstock? Rudolph is an ek punch!

Thanks for looking!

  2. These are all gorgeous Julie, I didn't see the original on the hop but it's beautiful with the glossy die-cut word :)
Your two re-works are fabulous too!
I think versafine works well on shiny cardstock...it's my go-to ink for sentiments and images unless I'm using Promarkers then I use Memento, both are quick drying, otherwise Black Stazon is good but does stain your stamps well!

  10. Hi Julie! I hope you don't mind me saying but I see you are having a bit of trouble with your photos. It is a shame because they are obviously great cards but perhaps are not showing up on the blog to their best ability. Here is a tutorial that was passed on to me and helped me quite a bit- If it is helpful to you- great! If you don't feel you want it that's fine too
