Angel

Hello everyone, just a quick blog before I head to work.
I made this card last night and the photos were rather dark.- much better this morning!
I've stamped the angel twice and once on more on stamped gingham ( distress ink).
I cut the dress from gingham and then coloured the the arms and hands and paper pieced these on the angel. I coloured the face and hair and bottom of the dress ( need more practice) and "fussy cut" the angel . The rest is fairly obvious. When I stamped the gingham for the background strip it wasn't great- but I decided it looked ok with the image and even helped the angel stand out more- so I've left it.
The wings and the greeting are glittery in real life- I used glitter pen!
The angel is taylored expressions-Whimsical Wishes,  and the greeting is GKD-Heirloom Ornament.I'm entering this card in 2 challenges:

  • "Less is More" - a bit of BLING
  • Stamp TV- Friday  challenge-"Cut it Out"

Thanks for taking a look!

Merry

This is my first blog hop entry! I've looked for a while and decided I should have a go!
I've used dp  and added a greeting from Wonderful Words: Holiday, and a die cut from PTI.  I covered the die cut with glossy accents! It looks great in real life!

Scooting by!

I'm enjoying the silhouettes!
This is number 3. Maybe I should try one for Christmas as well.
This is all a bit spotty- but I've stamped a panel of dp and scored the top and bottom . The stamps are MFT.

Stitched with love

I made this card last night and had to wait until today to enough light for a photo.
The silhouette sewing machine is a chipboard piece. I stamped it with Versamark ink and applied Opals embossing powder and then used my heat tool.  I think I should have used fabric instead of lace  but the fabric kept fraying and didn't look neat enough.
The stamp is MFT but I'm not sure where I got the dp from.
I've rounded the corners and inked all the borders.
Thanks for looking!

Black Cat

This weeks challenge theme over at "Less is More" is  Silhouettes

I've chosen a Stamp-It cat and some words from MFT .
The background is sponged and a circle masked for the moon. As usual I couldn't leave it as it was, and I used some glitter pen to make it sparkle. The fence is cut from black card and the cat is highlighted with glossy accents!
I lifted the sponged section with foam tape.

Christmas lights in red and orange

I'm loving this challenge at "Less is More" using  red and orange! I've made this with a small red border as well and I may post it later.
Here is one of my favourite sites  http://mailebelles.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html .The card here has lots of colour and it looks fantastic  .I decided it may look good in red and orange and I'm happy with how it turned out! I guess I've cased Malie - is this allowed in the challenge?

I've used Papertrey Ink stamps and Distress Inks ( I mixed 2 to make the orange) and after I'd stamped I added glossy accents to the lights! I popped it up on some foam to add dimension.

Coloured Tree

This card was made for a one layer challenge on Stamp TV.
I used a StampinUp tree stamp which I loaded with distress inks( yellow, red and green). The sparkle is from gold Stickles. The sentiment is PTI.

Red and Orange

Well, this is my first post to the Less is More Challenge ( the reason I needed to create this blog)!
I've watched and watched and wished I could join in!

I've used a Crafty individuals stamp for the background and punched 3 flower petals an inked the edges. I placed a button in the centre and attached the flower with one sticky dot!
So here goes!
I hope I have enough white space and I hope I have word verification switched off!
My blog says it's off so fingers crossed xx  Gulp! Here I go!

Mother and Child

I made this card for a challenge on Stamp TV which asked for Christmas card with any shade of blue ( on white, cream etc.)
I've had the stamp at the top for a while and I love it. but I couldn't make it work. I found the sentiment  a few weeks ago and I think they compliment each other perfectly!
I stamped in blue onto designer paper and then clear embossed. The edges are sponged in blue.
I'm happy with the result!

I've done it! I've created a blog!

Well, now I'll be able to join in with more of the great challenges I see on the web! Wow, !
